The boom in supercars has its roots with the Lamborghini Miura. In 1971, the Miura SV (Super Veloce, meaning very fast) was presented at the Geneva Motor Show. With performance to match its name, the SV featured a reinforced body for increased rigidity plus a new design rear suspension with tread widened by 130mm and wide 215/70VR15 tires inside dazzling fenders, to deliver radically improved cornering performance. Other enhancements include removal of the distinctive eyelashes around the headlamps and a newly designed front grille and rear combination lamps.
