1954 Mercedes Benz Renntransporter - New Old Stock
This is a beautiful 1:18 scale die cast model of the iconic vehicle that is part of European motor racing history, the transporter which carried the formidable Mercedes 300 SLR racecar driven by Juan Manuel Fangio. It was nicknamed "Blaues Wunder" (German for the "Blue Wonder")
Fun fact: The transporter claimed a top speed of 105 mph / 170 kmh which scared the competition :
"If that's how fast their transporters are, how fast are their cars?"
