This version comes from the later releases of the Corvette Stingray casting in 1/43 scale. It’s a larger Dinky and it has an unfortunate set of SpeedWheels. Alas, there is also an unfortunate black plastic base to it. The headlights pop up nicely when you use the thumb-lever on the base, but the lights themselves do not have the jewels that previous models did.

The hood does open, although it appears to be a black piece of plastic now, and the engine is in white. The two doors also open. There is a red interior and fairly clear glazing; I must point out that the steering wheel is missing. I didn’t notice at first, but now I can see it; there should be a steering wheel there on the left side, but there isn’t. That’s why you get the good price…
