The HQ Staff Car, which is based on the long-standing Oldsmobile 88 by Corgi, was one of several military vehicles that were included in the Corgi range in early 1965-an attempt to breathe new life into the previously published models, which was only partially successful, possibly mainly selected British vehicles and inexplicably missed inappropriate US Army paints. The HQ Staff Car was the exception and is now considered one of the most collective Oldsmobile 88 by Corgi - due to the low sales figures at that time and the relative rarity associated with it today.
