This detailed Porsche Carrera 6 was originally available for only two years - from 1967 to 1969 - and is typical of the high -quality models that Corgi produced during his "golden era". While it was only available in white, there were two versions, either with red or blue bonnet and doors - the latter are much less common. The tinted, transparent plastic in the back, which can be folded up to unveiled a detailed, chrome -plated and black engine, was based on a similar feature of the real car. A deep blue plastic was used in the version with red bonnet, it was either yellow or light blue in the model with a blue bonnet.
