This listing is for the Kayama Matazo 1990 BMW 535i Museum Edition Art Car 1/18 Scale Model (item #80430150938) as seen above. This beautiful collectible comes from the smoke-free collection of a lifelong collector who knew the value in never displaying or excessively handling these works of art. As can be seen in the photos, the art car booklet is present with the model itself is in very nice condition in the original box which shows only minor handling wear, while the base and clear case are still factory wrapped in plastic. Everything that is included is seen in the images (i.e. boxes, bases, cases, manuals, additional paperwork or parts if any are present). If you do not see it, it is likely not included. For BMW Art Car no. 9, it was time for a production car again, this time
a BMW 535i. It was the first car designed by an Asian artist – and it
stood out with its easy-going inconspicuousness. Japan’s Matazo Kayama
wrapped the BMW 5 Series in an airbrush dress. With the help of a
special foil printing process, he conjured up a stylized landscape
shaped by a river on the body. Kayama himself said of his inspiration:
“I wanted to give the impression of snow crystals in my work.â€
